Athletes were from various institutions, including UCU, Uganda Police Force (UPF), Uganda Prisons, Luwero Secondary School, and Gombe Secondary School. Some districts including Koboko, Masindi, and Arua City also had participants take part.
The Lady Cardinals continued to press for a winner and were rewarded with 12 minutes remaining when youngster Ritah Kadondi found the back of the net to complete the turnaround and secure all three points.
The two sporting events will happen on Saturdays, 13th and 27th June 2026, respectively, at the UCU sports ground, shifting them from Nelson Mandela (Namboole) Stadium, which is currently undergoing renovations in preparation for the 2027 PAMOJA African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
