UCU Lady Doves stretched their unbeaten run in the second round of the National Volleyball League with a composed 3-1 win over defending champions Sport-S in a fixture played at Sport-S grounds in Nambya on 8th February.
UCU Lady Doves kept their strong second-round momentum with a commanding 3-0 win over Seroma Doves on February 7, 2026, at Lugogo Indoor Arena in the National Volleyball League (NVL).
Second round of the National Volleyball League (NVL) opened with high energy on January 31 and February 1 at the Sport-S Grounds in Nsambya. Teams including KCCA, KAVC, Sport-S, and UCU Doves returned to action as they faced their first opponents of the round.
The tournament, featuring top clubs from 12 African nations, will be hosted across two venues: Lugogo Indoor Arena and Old Kampala Sports Arena.
UCU set the tone early, overpowering Uganda Prisons in the first set with a commanding 25-14 scoreline. Their precise attacking play and solid defence left their opponents struggling to find momentum. The Doves maintained their dominance in the second set, executing well-coordinated plays to secure a 25-17 win.
In the National Volleyball League match held at the Lugogo Indoor Arena, UCU outlasted their opponents in tightly contested opening sets and ended in straight sets with scores of 28-26, 26-24, and 25-15, respectively.
