UCU got off to a promising start, with captain Ibanda Lwabanga knocking down a three-pointer and Joel Kayiira adding six early points, leading the Mukono side to a 15–11 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

UCU started off with a strong lead, scoring 24 points against Nabisunsa’s 11 in the first quarter. Sylvia Nakituuka opened the score with a three-point shot. Despite missing a couple of layups and jump shots, Nakituuka’s 11 first-quarter points gave the Lady Canons an early upper hand.

In an inspiring show of unity and generosity, the 25th Guild government organised the Guild run dubbed “Guild Tuition Run” on Saturday, October 21st, 2023, to raise funds to support students facing tuition challenges. Hundreds of participants braved the chilly Saturday morning to join this noble cause, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Aaron Mushegyezi, who sported his signature bib.

Uganda Christian University (UCU) has launched one of its latest innovations that will see the institution turn much of its waste into wealth. While launching the waste harvesting and biogas production plant at the UCU main campus in Mukono early September, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Aaron Mushengyezi, said he had, indeed, come to believe that waste can be gold.

The run will begin at the UCU main gate; the participants will go through Kyiko Market, turn to Nabuti, then use the stretch via Shiloh and end at the same starting point. In its entirety, the distance will cover an approximate six kilometers.

Whereas the Covid-19 pandemic made technology a cornerstone in the operations of many institutions, for Uganda Christian University (UCU), the virus and education lockdown afforded an opportunity to ramp up its use. And there is no looking back. 

Uganda Christian University (UCU) celebrated a significant milestone by awarding doctoral degrees to five graduates during the second part of the 24th graduation ceremony. UCU channelled out 986 graduates at the ceremony at the main campus in Mukono.
