UCU Lady Canons delivered a dominant performance to defeat fellow university side KIU Rangers 79–27 in a National Basketball League fixture held at Rezlife Lubowa.

The Lady Canons took control from the opening quarter and never looked back. UCU limited KIU to only two points in the first quarter while scoring 20 themselves to set the tone for the game.

Coach Nicholas Natuhereza’s side continued their dominance in the second quarter, outscoring the Rangers 21–7 to take a commanding 41–9 lead into halftime.

The third quarter followed a similar pattern, with UCU extending the advantage after an 18–14 scoring run. They sealed the contest with another strong fourth quarter, winning it 20–4 to complete the 52-point victory.

Matrina Anyango led the Lady Canons with a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds. Lovi Malaika Najjuko added 12 points, Sarah Namale scored 11, while Doreen Nakibuuka contributed 10 points.

For KIU Rangers, no player reached double figures in scoring. Anena Cinderella Charity stood out with 11 rebounds.

UCU capitalised heavily on KIU’s mistakes, scoring 34 points off turnovers compared to the Rangers’ eight.
