The upcoming Netflix action drama, starring Jennifer Lopez, is set to be released on May 12, 2023. The film tells the thrilling story of a military-trained assassin, known as “The Mother,” who has been in hiding for years. However, she is forced to come out of hiding to protect the daughter she never met from ruthless criminals seeking revenge.

The movie’s initial photography began in Vancouver on October 4, 2021, but filming was abruptly suspended in January 2022 due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the setbacks, the production team managed to resume filming and complete the movie.

In the film, Jennifer Lopez portrays The Mother, a highly skilled and lethal assassin who has been on the run from the FBI for years. The FBI offers her a deal after the killing of several agents, and she reluctantly agrees to help them in exchange for protection for her daughter, whom she discovers is in danger.

As the story unfolds, the mother faces off against two other dangerous criminals who are still on the loose. She uses her military training and cunning skills to outsmart her enemies, employing various tactics like torture, stabbing, shooting, and even headbutting her way through intense action sequences. Alongside protecting her daughter, the mother also teaches her how to survive in the face of danger, passing on her deadly skills to the young girl.

The film also stars Joseph Fiennes, Omari Hardwick, Jesse Garcia, Todd Matthews, and other talented actors in key roles. Directed by Niki Caro, the official Netflix movie promises to be a gripping and adrenaline-pumping action drama that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end. With a combination of intense action, suspenseful plot twists, and Jennifer Lopez’s powerhouse performance, this film is sure to be a must-watch for action movie enthusiasts and Jennifer Lopez fans alike.
