    Trench coats for the rain

With the pitter-patter of rain falling on our roofs this month, or the after experience of the raindrops hitting the soil and the trees, the mind is switched to the very cold season coming in. This is the time that farmers are expected to cultivate their farms and start planting their different crops as they await the harvest in the dry season.

But anyway, the sudden change in the weather has led to a change in our fashion. Trench coats, boots, umbrellas, and scarves have become the order of the day. This is a way to ensure that you keep your body warm and prevent yourself from catching a cold. Therefore, do not be left behind in reference to fashion when the cold weather kicks in.

There is quite a number of clothing to choose from on a cold day, as it has been for the past few weeks in Uganda. To mention but a few: warm coats, boots, mittens, among others. However, today our focus is going to be on the boots and coats.

Trench coats are known to add a touch to your fashion, especially on a cold day. They are knee-length coats that are available in different colours such as black, beige, and navy blue, among others. They are sewn in with big buttons at the front and a belt to tie around the waist.

The trench coat is preferably worn with trousers, but you can also wear it with your dress or skirt for the ladies. They are also made as oversized coats and fitting coats, so the choice is all yours when you are set to choose the one you want to be clad in.

One of the best ways to pull off this look is to add boots to the entire outfit. This will make your outfit shout out and turn heads. This fashion trend cuts across both males and females.

How to Wear a Trench Coat With Boots Incorporated

It is best to wear a trench coat with skinny jeans, but you can switch it up by also wearing your office pants.

A turtle-neck shirt in whichever colour you want is added to the look, or an oversized t-shirt over a pair of boyfriend jeans for the ladies.

With the trench coat available in both fitted and oversized sizes, you can choose whether to wear it with the coat’s belt tied around your waist after buttoning the coat, or leave it open if you’re wearing an oversized t-shirt with boyfriend jeans.

Finish the look with a pair of boots in whichever colour that you choose as per the colour of the attire that you have selected to wear. However, with the current trend of sneakers, you may decide to wear sneakers instead of boots, which is not a bad idea either.

Finally, do not forget your umbrella as you head out. You do not want to look cool and get wet from the heavy downpour of rain and arrive at your final destination looking awful.
