After a number of cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and other circumstances, the international student association leadership team, along with the Dean of Student Affairs Office (DOSA) led by Bridget Mugume of Uganda Christian University (UCU), have finalized plans for the international student trip to Kalangala Island, Lake Victoria, on November 4, 2022.

The faces of UCU international students are painted with smiles and excitement as they prepare to embark on their long-awaited trip to Kalangala Island in Lake Victoria for three days, from November 4th to November 7th, 2022, to have a bit of fun and refreshment from studies, as it is always advisable to balance studies with fun.

For one of the international students, this is one of the best and most exciting things happening this year, as she has been yearning to visit different parts of Uganda. Mariam Jumaane from Tanzania says, “She always dreamt of exploring different places in Uganda, and finally her dream has turned into reality as she wished for.”

Jumaane also went ahead in expressing her feelings, saying, “She can’t wait anymore to reach Kalangala Island as she heard a lot of good stories about the place and she’s more ready to experience it herself.” And since it’s going to be her first time visiting, she hopes it’s going to be fun and exciting since she’s going to bond with people from different countries and share their experiences.
