In a stunning exhibition of talent and commitment, the UCU Lady Canons defeated their opponents, Nabisunsa by 83-63 baskets. The match, held at the Lugogo Indoor Arena, displayed the Lady Canons’ strength on the court, led by Bridget Aber’s outstanding performance.

As the sound of the first half whistle, the UCU Lady Canons held a commanding 60-43 advantage. The Lady Canons’ domination of the game was clear from the outset, as they took an early lead in the first quarter, eventually winning 19-11. Their unwavering determination and togetherness shone through the following quarters, leaving Nabisunsa trailing in their wake.

Bridget Aber emerged as the game’s unmistakable star, winning the renowned NBL (National Basketball League) Player of the Game award. Aber’s contributions were exceptional, as she controlled both ends of the court. Her impressive stat total included 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists, demonstrating her flexibility and effect on the team’s success.

Nabisunsa pushed hard to close the gap, especially during the halftime break when they attempted to close the Lady Canons’ lead. The Lady Canons, on the other hand, kept their cool and continued to dominate in the second half of the game.

With their victory, the UCU Lady Canons have now won 13 and lost three games in the regular season, laying the basis for what promises to be an exciting season ahead.
