    UCU Lady Cardinals relegated to FUFA Elite League

    FUFA Women Super League 

    Rines SS 2-1 UCU Lady Cardinals 

    UCU Lady Cardinals will be relegated to the FUFA Elite League after the end of the ongoing 2023/24 campaign. 

    UCU Lady Cardinals suffered a painful 2-1 loss to Rines SS WFC in the FUFA Women’s Super League at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakiso on Sunday. 

    Catherine Wujja scored a brace for the hosts as Jovia Nakagolo netted the lonely goal for the visitors. 

     Wujja gave the hosts an opener in the 30 minutes after getting to the end of the team attack. 

     Six minutes later, Nakagolo levelled matters for the Lady Cardinals as their fight finally yielded positively.  

    The Lady Cardinals join Asubo Gafford Ladies in the relegation zone as the two sides that will go down. 

     The Mukono based side will conclude the campaign with a game against against Asubo Ladies on Sunday, May 26.
