Uganda Christian University table tennis teams made a strong statement in the opening rounds of the AUUS Games, posting convincing wins in both the men’s and women’s categories at the UCU campus.

The UCU Ladies table tennis team delivered a flawless performance on day one. They opened their campaign with a 3–0 win over Kyambogo University before the UCU Men repeated the same scoreline against Makerere University on 19th December.

UCU dominated both ties with calm play and sharp execution, keeping pressure on their opponents from the first serve to the final point. The wins strengthened their push for a deep run in the tournament.

Action continued on day two in the men’s category, where UCU maintained the same momentum. The men’s team secured a clean 3–0 victory over Makerere University Business School, showing depth and consistency across all matches.

Napokoli Faishali and Ssentongo Mark played key roles in the win. Ssentongo sealed his match with a 3–0 result, controlling rallies and limiting errors as UCU closed out the tie without dropping a set.

UCU Ladies are set to return to action later in the afternoon at the Bishop Eliphaz Maari Block, commonly known as M Block. They aim to extend their winning run as the AUUS Games continue.
