Reflecting on the invitation of missionaries by Kabaka Mutesa I, the Nnaabagereka recalled that their coming “was for knowledge and transformation.”
The House of Laity of the Provincial Assembly of the Church of Uganda (CoU) has passed a resolution to honour the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev Samuel Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, for his outstanding contribution to the growth and development of the Anglican Church during his tenure.
The talent show offers an alternative for students and staff who may not be interested in participating in the university’s traditional annual tuition run. “The thinking is, if you’re not participating in the run, or coffee and paint, you can atleast support through music,” Tushemereirwe explained.
The week features free late library registration, a book display of new and rare collections, writing coaching, AI ethics workshops, faculty visits, e-resource training, dissertation e-submission clinics and an AI debate scheduled for Friday at 2pm in the Learning Commons.
he second graduating group comprised 22 students with first-class honours (12 women and 10 men), along with nine PhD recipients. Of the 568 graduates, 320 were male and 248 were female. Many began their studies while the university was closed, attending classes online.
