Reflecting on the invitation of missionaries by Kabaka Mutesa I, the Nnaabagereka recalled that their coming “was for knowledge and transformation.”
The House of Laity of the Provincial Assembly of the Church of Uganda (CoU) has passed a resolution to honour the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev Samuel Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, for his outstanding contribution to the growth and development of the Anglican Church during his tenure.
The talent show offers an alternative for students and staff who may not be interested in participating in the university’s traditional annual tuition run. “The thinking is, if you’re not participating in the run, or coffee and paint, you can atleast support through music,” Tushemereirwe explained.
Only seven (7) students achieved first class degrees, a performance Rev. Prof. Kitayimbwa said demonstrates a strong commitment to academic quality and rigor at UCU.
“There was a ruling that was passed, and it’s on the basis of that ruling that we’re having this occasion today,” Mugawe said.
Wessali encouraged students to begin putting their skills to use as early as possible instead of waiting to feel ‘ready’.

UCU has been recognised as the Strategic Partner of the Year by the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) for its outstanding contribution to the country’s fiscal development.
