A total of 10 countries were represented during this week’s activities including Tanzania, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, South Sudan, Eritrea, Liberia, Germany, Nigeria and Malawi.
Members of the Uganda Christian University (UCU) Staff Retirement Benefits Scheme are set to benefit from an interest rate of 12.33% on their savings towards retirement for the financial year ending December 31, 2025. This was announced during the annual general meeting held on June 11, 2026.

University students are increasingly opting to cohabit, a practice that they say offers both convenience and companionship. However, this trend has raised concerns amongst various people within the institution. While some see it as a pragmatic solution to high living costs and a way to strengthen relationships, others warn of the potential academic and social pitfalls.
Many people will agree that succeeding in today’s workplace has advanced beyond having mere academic qualifications and these days, employers seek more than just academic credentials.

During the most recent health awareness week, held from June 30 to July 4, at Uganda Christian University (UCU), the university collaborated with the Ministry of Health, the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI), and USAID Local Partner Health Services tuberculosis (TB) Activity (LPHS) to increase TB awareness and prevention within the university community.
