The Uganda Christian University (UCU) male and female football teams were defeated on Saturday, April 20, at UCU Grounds and Lugogo. The football teams known as the Cardinals lost both the FUFA Women’s Super League and the University Football League (UFL) final. The Lady Cardinals fell 2-1 to Kawempe in the FUFA Women’s Super League, and the Cardinals were defeated 3-1 by Nkumba University in the UFL final.

Our journey may have ended, but the fight and spirit of the Cardinals will forever soar,

Together we stand! This team’s camaraderie and fighting spirit were a force to be reckoned with throughout the season. #UCUFamily

Battle of the Titans: Leaving it all on the field! Our Cardinals gave it their all in the fight for the championship: UCU Midfielder Allan Opio battling it with Nkumba Midfielder.

Hand work and resiliency are two of UCU Lady Cardinals midfielder Sarah Abonyo’s most important game traits. During training

At UCU Grounds, UCU Strikers Mebble Kusasira and Jovia Nakagolo counterpress Kawempe Muslims FC. They lost to them, but they aimed to rebound and take on Uganda Martyrs WFC.

Through thick and thin, The UCU faithfully cheered their loudest! Thank you to our incredible fans for your unwavering support.

We are immensely appreciative of UCU’s wonderful fans’ unwavering support. In spite of the Loss

UCU’s Leftback Sewanyana Sharif’s FreeKick Wasn’t enough to win them a game, The future is bright for UCU Football! This season’s experience will propel us to even greater heights.

Battle in the Areal: UCU Skipper Gaganga battling for a header in Nkumba’s defense, Sportsmanship above all else. We acknowledge Nkumba University’s victory and extend our congratulations.
