With Prossy Basemera scoring for the second time in a row, Cathy Nassimbwa netting her fourth goal in the last three games for the Lady Cardinals, and Ritah Adyero sealing the victory, the efforts of the star players overshadowed the only goal for BUL FC Women. The visitors’ goal came from an own goal by Lady Cardinals goalkeeper Annita Akayo after a shot by Shifa Namubiru struck her back and went into the net.
Combined School of Social Sciences and SJMC team defeated FEDT 2-0 to win the UCU Inter-Faculty Games 2026 title. Goals from Diego Mugambwa and tournament top scorer Simon Arike capped a disciplined performance built on tactical execution and resilient defending.
The win was pivotal on the well-coordinated backline of UCU Lady Cardinals, commanded by Prossy Basemera and Harriet Muwugumya, as well as the team’s ball carrier upfront, Cathy Nassimbwa, who was in her prime form so far this season, making the defence of Jinja United Women FC look shaky.

Visitors, UCU had a sluggish start to the match, with few chances created in the first half. Midfielder Allan Opio was booked early, and his disallowed goal for offside in the first half added to the visitors’ frustration.
UCU took the lead in the 30th minute when Harry Abiti curled a brilliant free-kick into the back of the net, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.
