In other words, students are not simply taught how media works; they are expected to make it. All of this becomes part of the learning experience. And somewhere between reporting a story and creating one, some students discover filmmaking as their calling because they had to make film while learning everything else.
“Increasing concentration of greenhouse gases as a result of human activities is intensifying the greenhouse effect and contributing to global warming and climate change,” explained Dr Namirembe.
“As a result of this gala, we have all been brought together,” he said, calling for similar activities to be extended to other UCU campuses.
Fashion is a statement that not many people are bold enough to make. Just like the famous Coco Chanel once said – ‘I don’t do fashion. I am fashion.” Today, we speak with Jonathan Edgar Kasule, a Bachelor of Data Science student in his second year, about his fashion that he calls cool and modern.
“I had to sit home between October to January,” Guma recalls. “It was a time to reflect but also survive. You start thinking beyond just your papers. How do I get food? How do I stay sane?”
Namulwana was born and raised in Mukono, and studied at Seeta Parents Primary School, where she got four aggregates in her Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
According to Mrs. Rebecca Kangabe, UCU’s Director of ICT Services, the university is investing in cutting-edge digital systems like Alpha MIS, Moodle, and eChagua to foster collaboration, productivity, and secure access.
“I felt an overwhelming sense of pride and excitement,” she says, recalling graduation day. “Wearing the new gown, hearing my name called, my family cheering—it was like a dream come true,” she adds
For Rev. Canon Paul Wasswa Ssembiro, chaplain of Uganda Christian University (UCU), it was a moment of joy and pride as he translated the sermon which Bishop Henry Luke Orombi, the former Archbishop of the Church of Uganda gave, at the event at the Anglican Shrine.
